The terrain has something to offer for all difficulty levels and is an excellent place to learn how to ski & ride. Offering 120 acres of terrain and welcoming staff from a family owned and operated ski hill WAVES invites veterans to come out and enjoy winter.

Tucked in the heart of southern Idaho, Soldier Mountain is just a short drive from Boise, Twin Falls, and Sun Valley. Built in 1947, Bob Frostenson and Harry Durall founded Soldier Mountain Ski Area. The ski hill started out with a small lodge and two rope tows. The first chairlift was installed in 1971 and the second was added in 1974 giving access to the slopes to this day. Offering 1150 Acres of ski-able terrain at a base altitude of 7177’ Soldier is an award winning small mountain resort with plenty to offer for all skill levels.

Nubability is a limb different focused youth athletic program focused on giving coaching and access to sports for growth, development and perseverance in life & athletics.
Here in Idaho at Soldier Mountain WAVES instructors come together to instruct for Nubability’s Winter Camp. We strive to deliver access to snowsports for this programs participating limb different youth.

Pomerelle Mountain Resort is an amazing little hill that is family owned and operated. Pomerelle receives the most average snowfall in Idaho, often over 500 inches. It is one of the oldest ski areas in the western United States which began its operations in 1940. Pomerelle has long runs, night skiing and a great snowsport atmosphere.

Our Second annual Women’s Weekend at Tamarack Resort. In 2024 we brought our lady team of instructors together with women veterans to enjoy the slopes. This event fills up fast!
Tamarack is an independent, all-season destination resort with 3,500 acres of recreation, offering more than just a mountain . The terrain has something to offer for all difficulty levels and is an excellent place to learn how to ski & ride. WAVES staff of instructors is ready to offer Veterans lessons and guide vets through the snowsports environment.
